Resolutions

Time to make good on some of my resolutions.

First resolution - write more often. I figured this could prove useful to my studies in law. I've allotted 15 minutes everyday to writing. It frees the mind and relaxes the spirit, so they say.

Second resolution - lose weight. I did some calculating and I found a really disturbing fact; I've gained 7 lbs per year since 2009. My pants don't fit right (although they do still fit), and my shirts have shrunk (positive thinking). I guess everyone has promised themselves to lose weight this year. And I'm thinking most of them fail to make good their word on this aspect, or at least, when February comes, blissfully forget their goals. I hope I don't do the same.

Third resolution - focus on my studies in law more. Recent events have transpired and certain information has been passed to me by good friends and relatives that have ignited the studious person in me. I'm still getting the hang of studying regularly though. In my first semester, things were pretty laid back and my professors were not that hard to please. This semester, however, has me on the edge of my feet. The professors are strict, the cases are long, and the exams difficult. Actually, it's not really that difficult. All I really need is to put more effort into studying the same topics over and over again. This is true to whatever field a student is pursuing I guess. I've realized this now and hopefully, again, I can make good on this promise.

Fourth and last resolution - improve my penmanship. If I do this, I can write wherever I want. Let's face it, who would want to read anything that is poorly written? I have a lot of notebooks and journals that have no notes in them. Why? Because my handwriting is a mess, that's why. With optimism, I really do hope I can change my penmanship into something more fitting of a post-graduate student, rather than settling for this, to quote my girlfriend, a "3rd Grader's" handwriting. If I achieve this I promise to reward myself with a fine pen. Mont Blanc comes to mind.

That's about it for me. I'll see you when I see you! Thanks for reading!
